Here are some of the most common questions I get from clients about therapy. If you don’t see your question answered below, contact me.

  • Self-Pay Rates

Clients who choose to pay privately (self-pay) may do so at the following rates:

    • $165 – Intake Evaluation (this occurs one time per calendar year)

    • $140 – 60-Minute Psychotherapy Session

    • $125 – 45-Minute Psychotherapy Session

    Sliding/Reduced Self-Pay Rates:

A lower self-pay rate may be offered at the therapist’s discretion based on financial need or other circumstances. Reduced fees are not guaranteed and must be discussed and approved in advance.

    Good Faith Estimate:

If you choose to self-pay, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs of your treatment, in accordance with the No Surprises Act. This estimate is provided to help you understand and plan for your care.

  • I am in-network with and accept the following insurance plans:

    • Aetna

    • Harvard Pilgrim (Point32Health)

    • Blue Cross & Blue Shield

    • UnitedHealthCare

    • Mass General Brigham

I only accept commercial insurance plans at this time. I do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or MassHealth Products.

  • In your first appointment, you’ll share background information like your personal history, current problems, medical history, and past therapy experience. You’ll talk about why you want therapy to help me understand your situation. Together, we will set goals to guide your work and track progress. I will then explain a treatment plan, including the approach, how often you’ll meet, and any extra tasks. This first session is a private and cooperative start to your therapy.

  • The length of time you spend in therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people find benefits in just a few sessions, while others may work with a therapist for months or even years. Factors such as the nature of the issues, personal circumstances, and the type of therapy being used all influence the duration. I will work with you to determine the appropriate length of treatment based on your progress and ongoing needs.
